Like countless people before me, I've discovered that working in the tech industry kind of sucks. My day job is absolutely fine and eternities better than my previous hellscape of a job. However, doing something I like in a work setting takes much of the joy out of it for me and eats a lot of my intellectual energy and motivation leaving me with little time and energy for personal projects.
